ACCIÓN URGENTE: Asesinan a otro activista de Sintraemcali

La Asociación para la Investigación y Acción Social Nómadesc, el Sindicato de Trabajadores de las Empresas Municipales de Cali, Sintraemcali y demás organizaciones pertenecientes a la "Campaña Nacional e Internacional de Derechos Humanos, contra la privatización la Corrupción y la Penalización de la Protesta Social: "PROHIBIDO OLVIDAR", condenan el vil asesinato del activista de Sintraemcali FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA, perpetrado este 21 de febrero de 2003.
ACCION URGENTE
CONTINÚA GENOCIDIO CONTRA ACTIVISTAS
DE SINTRAEMCALI
La Asociación para la Investigación y Acción Social Nómadesc, el Sindicato de Trabajadores de las Empresas Municipales de Cali, Sintraemcali y demás organizaciones pertenecientes a la "Campaña Nacional e Internacional de Derechos Humanos, contra la privatización la Corrupción y la Penalización de la Protesta Social: "PROHIBIDO OLVIDAR", abajo firmantes, condenan el vil asesinato del activista de Sintraemcali FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA, perpetrado hoy 21 de febrero de 2003.
LOS HECHOS:
1.- Siendo las 7:30 p.m. el trabajador de la Gerencia de Teléfonos de EMCALI E.I.C.E. y activista de Sintraemcali, FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA fue interceptado por individuos que se trasportaban en una camioneta blanca polarizada al de Placas BNJ 469, quienes intentaron forzar al trabajador y subirlo al carro, el trabajador se opuso y forcejeo con ellos y al ver que no lograron su objetivo de llevárselo, le propinaron seis disparos y emprendieron la huida.
2.- Los hechos ocurrieron a cincuenta metros de la Central Telefónica de San Fernando carrera 25 con 5 en donde había trabajado durante cinco años, siendo trasladado hacia cuatro meses a la Planta telefónica de la Unión donde FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA se desempeñaba como técnico I. y llevaba 20 años trabajando en la empresa.
Solicitamos
1.- Se demande del Gobierno Nacional se frene inmediatamente los hostigamientos, amenazas, persecución y crímenes en contra de los activistas, lideres y dirigentes de Sintraemcali.
2.- Exigir se investigue imparcialmente los hechos en mención y se sancione a los autores intelectuales y materiales de este aleve crimen.

URGENT ACTION
THE GENOCIDE AGAINST SINTRAEMCALI ACTIVISTS CONTINUES
The Asociación para la Investigación y Acción social Nómadesc (Association for Soical Research and Action, NOMADESC), el Sindicato de Trabajadores de las Empresas Municipales de Cali, Sintraemcali and other organizations that belong to the "The National and International uman Rights campaign Against Privatisation, Corruption, and the Criminlaisation of Social Protest", strongly denounce the vile assassination of the Sintraemcali activist FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA, carried out on the 21st of February, 2003.
THE EVENTS:
1.- At 7:30 p.m. the worker in the Telephone Management Office of EMCALI E.I.C.E. and Sintraemcali activist , FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA was stopped by unknown individuals that were travelling in a White Truck with polarised windows, with number plates BNJ 469. The individuals tried to force him to enter the truck, but he refused, and when they realised that they would be unable to carry out their mission to take him away then then turned and shot him six times.
2.- The events occurred just 50 metres from the Central Telephone office in san Fernando, Cali, where he had worked for five years, prior to being transferred four months ago to the telephone workplace ‘la Unión’ where FREDY PERILLA MONTOYA worked as a technician. He had worked for twenty years in the company.
We call for:
1.- Demand that the Colombian government stops its harrasment, threats, persecution and other crimes against activists and leaders Sintraemcali.
2.- Call for an impartial investigation into the above mentioned events and sanction the material and intellectual authors of this horrific crime.
